Time and Space Are Never Static: You Of All People Should Know That

While many times can qualify as Hours That Extrude, those hours can flow into days or weeks, particularly after major celebrations and/or sacrifices. With chronal membranes particularly thin before and after major holiday ceremonies, certain places are particularly susceptible to viewing not so much parallel realities as such, but their quantum potential. Look toward the Dallas skyline on a cloudy winter night, for instance, and watch the buildings and monuments flow like wax into strange and fascinating new shapes. Sometimes, the horizon has hints of great towers and pyramids where none have rested for thousands or millions of years, or mirages of future endeavors right now only a possibility. Sometimes, with the right kind of eyes, it’s possible to see what might have happened had exactly the right series of events occurred in the right order, and very occasionally, in the moments before the clouds part and the disinfecting moonlight clears the board again, it’s possible to see eyes in those spires staring back, wondering if they are imagining their view as well. Once in a great while, the eyes staring in and the eyes staring out are from the same person, and when that happens, almost anything is possible.
